PRESIDENT

Jin Hi Kim

Composer and virtuoso Jin Hi Kim performs traditional music and her own compositions on acoustic komungo (a fourth-century Korean zither) and on the world's only electric komungo.

 

 

VICE PRESIDENT

Ilson New

Ilson New is the only son of Il Han Yoo, the founder of Korea's first pharmaceutical company founded in 1933, Yoo Han Yang Yang. Ilson is an Attorney at Law.

 

TREASURER

Shin Hi Ro

Shin Hi Ro majored in art at SFSU and is a mother of two. She works for the city at San Francisco's Department of Human Services.

 

SECRETARY

Jung Suk Pak

Jung Suk Pak, an artist, graduated from SFSU and is preparing to study to become a medical doctor. She works for the Asian Art Museum as a Cultural Program assistant.

 

MEMBER

Hyun Joo Lee

Hyun Joo Lee Chappell is a designer at the San Jose Mercury News. She also is the community liaison and a founding member of the Association of Korean Adoptees, San Francisco.

 

MEMBER

Byung Min Kim

Byung Min Kim is a successful small-business owner and a parent of four children. He also is the president of the Korean Judo Association.

Il Hyun Kim

Il Hyun Kim is a professional dancer, mother of two and a teacher. She has been teaching Korean dance to many youth over the years. She was selected fr the Ethnic Dance Festival last year.

Daniel Kim

Daniel Kim is an 8^th-grader at Presidio Middle School in San Francisco. In addition to his KAWAWA involvement, Daniel is active in kendo, basketball and cello.

Lucy Kwak

Luci Kwak is a graduate of SFSU's Film Department. As an independent filmmaker, she produced "Return to Grace" and received numerous awards. She also produced a promotional video for KAWAWA
